It's Tradition! ;)

Reckon its a boy thing!! ;) Kaiden climbed into the cabinet today to mark the traditions his cousins have set before him!! LOL!!! Tooo cute!!! Love every moment with my sweet guy!!!! :)

Baby Update

Monday I had my 14 week check up! I can't believe I'm in full swing of the 2nd trimester! This pregnancy is going by so quickly..which some day is great and other days I wish it would slow down just a little! The heartbeat at this appt. was 152! I've declared this one will be another boy! As much as I would love a little girl, I am completely satisfied either way! I could be completely wrong..but I'm calling it a boy! ;) We will know for sure on Jan. 5th! That will be here before we know it! :) As I was with Kaiden, I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead! We may have another big baby on our hands!! :) I'm feeling ok these days...still dealing with some morning sickness, but my energy level is returning! And my favorite part is that I'm starting to feel the little one move around! It started with this one roughly at 11 weeks. I felt Kaiden for the first time right at the end of 13 weeks so I was expecting to feel this one pretty quickly. Just recently I have felt the occasional kick here and there..but most still the "butterfly" feeling! And this is def. felt mostly in the late evening..hope he/she gets the days and nights figured out quick!! :)
Kaiden seems to be doing great with the pregnancy. Not that I expect any different right now! He will lay his head on my belly when I tell him to love the baby..but that is all he really makes about it right now! We are going to start working on some big transitions here over the next few weeks so he will be ready for his baby brother or sister! Pray these go well and he will adjust well throughout the pregnancy and birth of the baby! We are so thankful to God for this sweet little one and will continue to update throughout the pregnancy! Please continue to pray for a healthy baby and that things will continue to go well!

14 months old

That's right! Another month has come and gone! Doesn't seem real!! They just go by so fast!! Lil Man is keeping me so busy these days! Juggling him, being pregnant, and schoolwork..not to mention the every day chores, are keeping me extremely busy! And I wouldn't trade one min. of it! ;) Kaiden is growing so fast! He is so smart and just learning all sorts of new stuff every day! His vocabulary has just taken off through the roof this month! He has added juice, cheese (when u pull out the cam. haha), Bible, Jesus, No (usually said after we tell him no..he proceeds to tell himself no..lol),and dog (HE LOVES A DOG), and he repeats things like crazy just doesn't do it again! The other day I was carrying on a conversation with a friend while I was holding him. She said the word trouble and he repeated it so clearly! He also has done this for David (during story time), and just today I called his name and he said it right back! It is so funny..because it is as clear as a bell..but he only does it once and looks at you like you are completely crazy when you try to get him to say it again! HAHA! Yesterday we switched his bedroom out with our guest room! We plan on having him and the baby share rooms. The guest room had also turned into his play room so it just made sense to move all his stuff in there! The rooms turned out great! We put his toddler bed in there just so it would be ready for that transition time! He was SO EXCITED!! He loved having it at his level and climbing on it! We decided to try him in it last night and he did great! when it was time to get up this morning, he just sat by the door and waited! HAHA! Nap time was a complete different story! He got up so many times and was even caught reading his Bible on the floor! LOL! So this transition will take some time! Not as easy as gettin rid of his paci or taking him off the bottle! :) He is walking all over the place and prefers this rather than crawling! He LOVES to dance!!! Cutest thing in the world!! He LOVES to play!! He is def. all boy when it comes to playing! He likes to wrestle and just be rough! HAHA!! Thankfully I have 2 wonderful nephews who helped me with this skill!! ;) He knows a few signs..his favorite and the one he is best at is the sign for more! This is actually GREAT because we are teaching him not to whine for more food or juice but to sign it! We just say what are you supposed to say and he signs more! It is sooo cute!! He signs "Da Da", "Baby", and "eat"! He is so full of life!! He loves to be the center of attention and to make everyone laugh!! Which he succeeds at!!! I'm so amazed at how much he is learning! I'm telling you it just goes by to quick!! I am loving this stage in his life and look forward to many many more months!!

Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I know it is a few days early, but we will be out of town for thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure I got my Thanksgiving post! I am so thankful for so many things this year! First of all, I am thankful for my salvation! If all He ever did was save me that would have been enough! I am so amazed every day that he chose to die for me and for my sins! Secondly, I am thankful for my husband! He is such an amazing husband who desires to lead our home in Godliness. He is the love of my life! We will celebrate our 3rd Anniversary during the Holiday Season and I couldn't have asked for a better 3 years! God is so good to us and blesses us in ways we can't comprehend! Third, I am thankful for my son, Kaiden! He is the joy of my life! I am so thankful to be his mommy and he makes me laugh every day!! He is such a sweet and loving baby!! Fourth, I am thankful for this new life growing inside me! God has truly blessed! I can't wait to find out what this sweet blessing is and more importantly I can't wait to meet this precious one! Lastly, I am thankful for my extended family! My family as well as Jonathan's family! We have truly been blessed with Godly parents and siblings! We have so much fun when we are together and it is a joy to be so close to our families! There is so much more I could write about that I am thankful for!! I can't wait for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! It reminds me each and every year how blessed I truly am and I never want to take one single day for granted! Trust you all will have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!

Our Lil Blessing

Here is our little blessing at 10 weeks! I had another great appt. today and was blessed to hear that precious little heartbeat! We got to hear it on the Doppler and then through the ultrasound. It was so amazing. There is an overwhelming sense of love when you hear that heartbeat for the very first time. It was a very good and strong heartbeat beating 163bpm. Kaiden really enjoyed listening to it and was trying to figure out what it is! I loved watching him today and he watched the little baby on the screen trying to figure out what in the world that was! :) I can't wait to see how he is going to be throughout this pregnancy and when the baby comes! We were told today that this one is a wiggly worm for sure! :) The baby was so cute moving all around in my stomach and just kicking away..I can't wait to actually feel those kicks! ;) It was so amazing to watch..just as it was amazing to watch with Kaiden! It just never gets old! I can't tell you how overjoyed I am that we are expecting this new blessing in our lives! God knew the plan He would have for our family and we are just so thankful to Him for his goodness and His mercy even when we don't deserve it! God is so good! Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and for this blessing that is growing inside of me! :)

13 Months Old

WOW!! Kaiden is 13 months old! This blog is a little late..but better late than never! He is changing so much every day! He is walking now and going everywhere and getting into everything! I am enjoying this stage a lot..even though it makes me so sad to think of him as a toddler and not a baby! :/ He will always be my baby though..I'm sure he will appreciate that when he is 16..lol!! He is such a fun, loving sweet boy..but he is starting to test his bounds! I will say this has been the most frustrating part of this stage! I believe this is where we start learning how tough it can be to be a parent! ;) His vocabulary is growing and growing..he is picking up so many words!! His favorite thing right now is to point to his eyes and say "eyes" this is just the cutest thing..I love how he says it! LOL! He doesn't always get to his eyes..most of the time he gets to his nose or forehead..lol! He def. knows where his nose is as well as everybody elses..haha! Just recently, we were getting into the car and I sneezed..well he thought that was the funniest thing in the world..so he walks around saying "ahh choo"..HAHA! HOW CUTE!!! He loves to clap for himself 2..it is 2 funny..he loves clapping when other people clap..especially on TV! LOL! Another he has picked up recently, when you ask him where his baby is..he rubs his belly and says "baby"..now let me clear something up..I DO NOT walk around rubbing my belly and saying baby..in fact we don't really talk to him about it a whole lot. We will occasionally talk about it with him, just to get it in his mind...well he got it apparently! LOL!! I really want to get him used to babies before the lil one comes along...he thinks they are toys right now so we gotta work on that! ;) We have found something he doesn't like to eat..CHICKEN! Now, he will scarf down some chicken nuggets..but does not like any other chicken...even if you try to mix it up with something..he finds it in his mouth and takes it out! Who would have thought our child wouldn't have liked chicken?!?!? Maybe it is just a texture thing with him...idk! I don't even know if I should type this..lol...but we think he is finally getting his first tooth! We thought this about 6 months ago, but it has yet to come in..but the odd thing is..it is hip top tooth! We def. see it coming in, but it could still take a while to come in..in fact he still may bet his bottom one first..who knows! But we def. see that top tooth coming in! Would explain the constant chewing his fingers and crankiness! He doesn't use teethers to chew on..no he uses those like he is driving a car..lol..the only thing he likes to chew on to sooth the pain is his toothbrush! ;) Well it is time to eat so I will end this blog by saying, I am so thankful for this sweet gift of God and I am so in love!!! :)

Our Chunky Monkey's Bday Party!!

For Kaiden's 1st Birthday I incorporated about 3 themes! ;) I LOVED the monkey idea! ADORABLE!! And since we call Kaiden our "Chunky Monkey" it was PERFECT!! We also really liked the yellow and blue colors! And lastly, I really wanted to capture his first year of life through his party, so we decorated with lots of pictures of him over the past year! It turned out really cute! Kaiden had a GREAT time at his party..and he did such a great job! His favorite thing was of course the cake! He got very upset when it was time to take it away..one day he will realize it was for his own good! We had family and a few friends attend his party and it turned out GREAT! Our BIG Surprise

We got a BIG surprise on Kaiden's 1st Birthday!!! He is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!
We were very surprised and had certainly not planned for this wonderful blessing to come so soon!! But GOD HAD OTHER PLANS!!! And we GLADLY accept His plans rather than the plans we had!! ;)We are so excited!! I'm due the 1st of June! I have definitely had the pregnancy symptoms..but it is true that every pregnancy is different! With Kaiden I was sick all day long and was tired but not extremely tired! With this one..I'm exhausted most of the day..and only sick when I need to eat something or at night and occasionally in the morning..the difference is I can eat and feel better..with Kaiden that just wasn't possible! Kaiden is going to be a great big brother and we are so excited about this blessging that God has given us!! We ask your prayers for a smooth and healthy pregnancy! Will keep you updated!! ;)

Kaiden is ONE!!

I can't believe my sweet precious boy is ONE year old!! My how time flies!! It just doesn't seem right!! I have had such a bittersweet month(The month of Sept.). I was totally more excited about his bday than he was..and I'm sure that will change in a few years when he actually understands birthdays!! I spent most of the month reflecting on the past year that we have had with Kaiden and what a joy it has been! God has been so good to us and this year was just AMAZING! Kaiden came into this world on Sept. 29, 2010 and 8lbs 13oz and 20 1/2 in. long changing our lives forever! Now he is 22lbs (maybe a lil more now considering how much he is eating these days) and 28 in. long with the best personality you will ever meet! He is such a fun loving boy!! And he is just that ALL BOY!! I love that about him...he is so wide open all the time! However, he gets serious about food and sleep! LOL!! Typically man huh?!?

Kaiden is learning so much these days!! He is getting a vocabulary and right now his favorite words are "da da" "ma ma" "nana" "papaw"!! Seriously, at 6:30 yesterday morning he repeated them in that order over and over!! I must say even though I was half out of it that early in the morning..it was precious!! :) He also loves to say.."ahhh boo"!! Haha!! That is just 2 funny to me! He is becoming a copy cat!! For sure..so his vocabulary is expanding..he is starting to say words that we say! Like over the past two days he has picked up "Love you" and "Kitty Cat"! Sooo cute!!

My lil man can get places!! He is such a fast crawler and is where he wants to be in the blink of an eye!! He has taken about 6-7 steps on his own!! He then realizes what he is doing and falls to the ground!! HAHA! He will get in one day!! And I know when he is fully walking I'm in for it!! ;)

He still has NO teeth!! We feel them at the surface they just are taking their precious time coming through..but you think this stops him!! Absolutely NOT!! haha!! My man can eat ANYTHING you put in his mouth!! No we don't allow him to eat ANYTHING..lol..but seriously it is the craziest thing I have ever seen! He LOVES food...I say that every month...but I seriously wish you could see him when he sees food! He drops everything and tries his best to get it..doesn't matter if he knows you are not!! LOL!! Yes that is kinda embarrassing!! We are the highlight of some people's evenings when we go out to eat.. it never fails that people watch and laugh and comment on how much he eats and how!! LOL!! He says yum yum yum.. the whole time he eats and bounces up and down!! It is just too funny!!

I will do another post about his bday party and some BIG news we found out on his bday, and will also give updated stats as we take him to his one year appt on Thursday! I am looking forward to the next phase of his life! God is so good to us and we are so thankful for the year that he blessed us with! We love you Kaiden so much! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and we love you with all our hearts!

Birthday Week Is HERE!!!

I can't believe this time has come!! I've anticipated it for some time now...and it has finally arrived! i have been reflecting so much this past week as we prepare for lil man's birthday!! This day 1 year ago, I was checked into the hospital and anxiously awaited the birth of our precious lil boy! He was finally born Sept. 29, 2010 at 1:33am weighing in at a whopping 8lbs 13oz. and 20 1/2 in long! Now that precious lil boy has become quite the charmer with his contagious smile and warm loving spirit! Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for such a wonderful gift! I will do another post soon as his developments, but I just wanted to take a min. to thank God for such an awesome gift! No one could have prepared me for motherhood and this amazing journey. Yes I had wonderful advice and loving family and friends who has given us so much support throughout this whole journey. But I never knew the love that I would have for someone so dependent on me. Truly reminds me of the Father sending His only son to come pay the price for our sins! Or how Mary felt when she watched her son hang on a cross to pay for the sins of the world! Wow!! Such a convicting thought! Kaiden has brought so much joy into our lives and we are forever grateful to God for giving us the awesome responsibility of being his parents! We are looking forward to celebrating this week! Pics to come!! ;)

Kaiden Michael 11 months old

Whew...what a busy month this has been for Kaiden!! And I can't believe he will be one year old next month!! WOW!!! It just doesn't seem real!! He has learned sooo much this past month and had a lot of "first"! He went on his first vacation, experienced his first earthquake and his first hurricane. He did so great on vacation...he enjoyed swimming and playing with his cousins!! The earthquake probably didn't phase him one bit..lol..but the hurricane well he could tell something was up! First of all we lost power Sat morning and he doesn't like to get hot so needless to say he was rather miserable all day. He was a lil scared to sleep on his own so we had lots of snuggle time during the hurricane!

Remember how he use to scoot everywhere..well..he decided that was getting boring so he is crawling EVERYWHERE and is really fast!! He is really keeping me on my toes!! He just decided one day that scooting was old and boy when he got it he got it!!

He has added a lot of words to his vocabulary!! He has mastered "Ma Ma" in fact sometimes he will say "Mom" or "Ma"! Let me just say right here, he spent a week with Landen while on vacation and he picked up a lot of words from him..hence why he says "Mom"! ;) He also can say "Papaw", "Nana", "Thank You" "Uh-oh" "Da Da" "Ball" "Bye Bye" and lots of other jibber jabber!! :) I love listening to his talk!! It is so cute and he gets so animated...def. feel a lil preacher boy coming on! :) He can pull up like a pro...and is standing a lil bit on his own!

He still LOVES to eat...and this month he has been introduced more foods! He loves everything! I am thankful he is such a good eater! It is crazy how much the child can eat! He also has learned to walk using a walker. I'm gonna enjoy these last few days/weeks of him not walking...cuz I know I will be crazy busy when that time comes! Although I am looking forward to that new phase...whenever he is ready!! :) I can't believe we are in the final stages of birthday planning!! It just doesn't seem real!! I am so thankful God has blessed me with the greatest husband and father and also for the most precious baby!! Kaiden is such a fun baby and keeps us smiling all the time!! He is wide-open and so full of life! He smiles at everyone..even if they aren't paying attention to him!! :) Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing you have given me!!

First Haircut

10 Months Old

This past Friday, July 29, Kaiden turned 10 months old!! I still can't get over that in just 2 short months we will be celebrating his First Birthday!! I'm looking forward to this Big Special Day, but at the same time I just can't beleive that he will be a year old! Anyway, back to his update! He is such a happy little boy and is always laughing. I love his personality! He always has a smile for everyone! He has perfected the army crawl! LOL! It is so cute to watch! Occasionally he will get on all fours and crawl a few steps, but for the most part his in content with "his way" of crawling! :) And he is into Everything! He army crawls his way to what he wants to get into 2! This past month he stood up in his crib for the first time and it starting to pull up on furniture. He will make it to his knees and occasionally will do a squat, and if Jonathan or I are on the floor he will pull to a standing position on us. He loves to stand up! I have a feeling it won't be long before he walks! I'm not sure what I'm going to do because he is already into everything!! ;) That will be such a fun stage!! :) His vocabulary is expanding!! He can now say "MA MA"!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!! He first said in On July 5!! Of course he was fussy for more food and every so sweetly said "MA MA"!!! My heart was soo happy!! And that is just about the only time he says it...when he is fussy and wanting something! ;) He is saying "Da Da" very well! And has added "ball" to his vocabulary! And of course all the jibber jatter that he does all the time! :) Occasionally we will hear him say something that sounds just like a word...but can't tell for sure if that was it or it just "sounded" like it! ;) For instance, Jonathan was practicing for a special he was to sing in church...Kaiden was listening intently and everytime Jonathan hit a high note Kaiden would raise one hand and say something that sounded just like "Amen"! LOL!! It was the cutest thing! ;) Another example, Jonathan has been teaching him to give a "High Five" and he is doing great and will do it just about everytime! Last night, Jonathan was feeding him the rest of his supper and out of no where we both heard him say something that sounded just live "Five" and he stuck out his hand to give Jonathan a "High Five"! It was adorable!! :)

He is still a champ of an eater!! The child Loves food!! I'm pretty sure he weighs at least 21 lbs if not 22 lbs! WHEW!!! He has been working on his first tooth for a VERY long time! The first of June we begin to feel it at the surface and thought it would break through any day...well we still feel it and it hasn't broken through just yet! But this doesn't stop him from eating! :) Recently, my nephew was eating some chicken nuggets and fries while we were driving down the road! Of course he thought it would be nice to share with Kaiden! And Kaiden loved him some chicken nuggest and fries! Of course I didn't let him eat them all, but he sure enjoyed it while it lasted! ;)

Kaiden brings so much joy into our lives! We are so thankful to be his parents and couldn't have asked for a sweeter child! We are so in love with him and that love grows deeper and deeper every day! Our prayer is that we will teach him to grow in the Lord and he will always put Him first in his life! We are so thankful to God for the precious gift!

I survived!! :)

I can't believe it!! Camp has come and gone and I survived!! :) I can't believe I made it a whole week without my baby...but I did! And I was right... IT WAS HARD!!!! Not a second went by that I didn't think about him or miss him terribly! He was able to stay with Jonathan's parents the first part of the week and my parents the end of the week. Thankfully I received lots of pictures and updates and a video and my favorite part..SKYPE!! I was very thankfully he was able to spend this time with family and it did make it a little easier for me knowing that he was in good hands! :) I had a great time with my hubby and all the others who went to camp! The Lord moved in Great ways and we were able to see many make decisions and souls saved. We were able to meet my parents in Zebulon on our way back home. We chartered a bus this year and car seats aren't allowed on the bus so I was able to hold Kaiden on the way back! He laid on my chest just about the whole way back just snuggling and staying close to me! I LOVED it... about the last 30 min or so of the trip he drifted off to sleep and I just held him and thanked God for giving me such a blessing! He turned 10 months old while we are at camp (that post is coming later)! And boy did he do a lot of changing this week! I expected that to happen...but wow...it was more than I prepared myself for! I feel like I left a baby and came back to a toddler! :) Of course I still have my "baby" and he will always be my baby!! :) The highlight of our first day back as a family was tonight as Jonathan was practicing for his special tomorrow at church, Kaiden listened very intently! Every time Jonathan reached a high note, Kaiden would raise one hand and babble something that sounded just like "amen"! Jonathan and I both looked at each other the first time like we couldn't believe what we just heard and saw..and when it happened again we both just laughed because it was by far the cutest and funniest thing ever! We are both just so in love with this precious gift from God and we praise Him everyday for Kaiden! :) Guess he is learning early on to praise the Lord!! :)

Update!

Its been a while since I have updated my blog! Mainly because we have been so busy!! We celebrated my sister's birtday the first of the month and then my mom turned 50 on the 10th! We had a surprise party for her although she wasn't 2 surprised!! (I am so thankful for my mom and the Godly influence she in on my life!! She is the best!!) I finished up school for the summer and then I took a few days to go the Free Will Baptist National Convention! Its was great to see some people I haven't seen in a very long time! :) Now we are getting ready to head to the Wilds for Junion/Tenn Camp! I am looking foward to camp, just not looking forward to leaving my baby for a week! He will be staying with grandparents while we are gone...which I am thankful for..but at the same time I really don't like the thought of having to leave him behind! I know it will be for the best for him and us. He is on a good schedule and doesn't like to be much out of that routine so I know a week of a very off schedule for him wouldn't be the best situation! And I know this week is a time for Jonathan and I to spend some much needed time together as well as time with our kids! I just know that in a week Kaiden can change so much and I hate I will be missing out on a week in his life!! THANK THE GOOD LORD FOR SKYPE AND CELL PHONES!!! :) Rest assured we will def. be keeping in touch with him and family!! :) I also have the awesome opportunity to spend some time with my nephew before we go to camp! He is such a joy to have around!! I love having him here...gives me and Kaiden some company!! He is a great helper and Kaiden just loves to watch him! :) He seriously wathces every move he makes!! :) And laughs at Brayden ALL the time!! It is so cute to watch! After we get back from the Wilds, we will have one week to prepare and get ready for VACATION!! Which I am really looking forward to! We are in need of a break and to SLOW down for a little while! It will be really nice!! :)Oh and Kaiden turns 10 months old while we are at camp (we won't discuss that right now...each month is a milstone that I like to celebrate with him...so yes Friday will be very hard for me) Anyways, that is what has been going on around here! Hopefully things will slow down a bit and I can update more on lil man and all he is into these days!! :) Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!! :)

Happy Birthday to My SISTER!!

Where do I begin?!?! My sister turned 26th today!! First of all let me just say she is 4 years away from being 30!!! LOL!!! OK..I won't pick on her anymore!! Today has been a lil emotional for me because I won't see her on her actual birthday (oh don't worry.. I have plans to celebrate her bday when she gets back from vacation!!) I love my sister beyond words, and it has been kinda hard not to be with her today!! You see, my sister is my very best friend!! Of course my husband is my best friend... but Amanda is my Girl Best Friend..LOL!! We talk about everything and I know I can confide in her!! I know I can always go to her for advice or just to vent!! Someone asked if we have always been this close...and well I can say as kids we had our times where we argued and times we didn't get along...but we have always been close sisters! As the years have passed and we have gotten older, we have truly become best friends!! My journey into motherhood only brought us closer because they gave us soo much more to talk about!! HAHA!!! I look up to her in so many ways, but the most important is spiritual! You see, Amanda's journey in life took an unexpected turn about a year ago when Landen was diagnosed with PD! I have seen her handle this situation with such grace, but yet she has been real about her struggles! She is not afraid to admit that is has been hard or that she has always looked at it in the best of ways! But she took the plan the Lord gave to her and she has made it into a blessing! She is shining God's light in the midst of what to others would seem like a tragedy! God must have thought highly of Amanda, because he in trusted Landen (and Brayden) into her care! She is truly a Proverbs 31 women!! My sis means the world to me, as does her family!! Jonathan and I respect them so much! Our boyz are growing up together and already have such a special bond between the 3 of them!! Kaidens face ligths up when he sees Brayden and Landen!! I am soo thankful God placed me and Amanda as sisters!! I hope see has the best birthday in the world because she deserves the best!!! I love you Amanda!!!

Kaiden Michael 9 months old

June 29: Kaiden turned 9 months old!! WOW!!! Seems like the months just go by faster and faster!! Before long he will be turning 1!! I can't believe that in just 3 short months I will have a 1 year old!! I'm trying to emotionally and mentally prepare myself for that!! Anyway, back to his 9 month report!! At his 9 month check up he weighed 19lbs 15oz and was 26 1/2 in. long! This was the best weight gain he had since he was born!!! Kaiden is rolling all over the place..its funny to watch him roll to get things on the floor that he wants. Just recently he started scooting! I'm sure he will get the actually "crawling" down..or he may just scoot and go right to walking! He loves to stand up and try to stand by himself...he thinks its a game and he just loves it! He will pull up on me if I'm sitting on the floor with him, he has tried to pull up on furniture and stuff but he hasn't accomplished that yet..which I'm totally ok with!! LOL!! The longer I can hold him off the better!! HAHA!! He is already into everything so I can imagine how much worse it will be when he does do those things! He has become such a mama's boy lately!! He will grab a hold of my shirt and turn away from people if they try to hold him! He loves looking and laughing at people, just as long as he is in mamas arms!! LOL!! His vocabulary is about the same with an added "o" and "a" sound in there everyonce in a while! He is such a sweetheart and I love him so very much! God has truly blessed us with a good baby!! He is a great sleeper..sleeping 10-12 hours every night!! Such a blessing!! He truly is the light of our worlds and we are so in love and happy to be his parents!!

Prayer Request

I would like to ask everyone to please pray for my Great Aunt Barbara (Barbara Wall). On Tuesday, she suffered a massive stroke which caused a brain aneurysm. Doctors told the family that she would not make it. However, God had another plan and she is still with us today. At this time, she is not very responsive and has not had a lot of improvment. She had surgery on Thursday to relieve the pressure from the clots on her brain. She has had little movement and has not woken up since this all happened. Of course this is very devestaing to our family and has completely taken us by surprise. Aunt Barbara, just turned 69, is a very sweet, lively, and fiesty person!! Haha!! She has served in her church for many years and has done a lot for her church, the school, and many other ministries. Even though this has taken us by surprise, it sure didn't take God by surprise! He knows exactly what is going to take place! We have asked God to have His way and we are trusting Him! Please pray for my aunt, Uncle Stanley, her daughters Karen and Elaine and their children and grandchildren. Along will all other family memebers! Also pray for the Doctors and nurses who are taking care of her! We serve a Great God and know that He will hear the prayers of His children, so please join us in praying for this Dear Saint of God!

Happy Father's Day

I am so thankful for a Godly Father!! He has been such a great example of what my Heavenly Father is like! He was the 1st man I ever loved! ;) He has been a wonderful father to his 3 children. I am so thankful for all of the "life lessons" he has taught me! I am so thankful God allowed me to be his daughter!! I am thankful for his heart! Daddy, Thank you for being a GREAT daddy!! You mean the world to me!! I don't know where I would be in life if it wasn't for you!! I am so thankful for your Christian walk...and very proud to say that you lead me to the Lord when I was just 5 years old! You are a great example of what an early Father should be like! Thank you for the example that you are to Jonathan and I! And Kaiden sure does love his Papaw!! Thank you Daddy for all you have done for us! We love you sooo very much!!

TO my Husband:
I love watching Kaiden's face light up when he sees you!! You are such a good Father to him!! I know he loves you very much!! I can't wait to watch you two grow together and to see the bond that you two will share. I love you sweetheart and pray that God will continue to lead you into the Father he would have you to be!! Kaiden and I love you very much!!

2 Year Anniversary

This Tuesday, June 14, we are celebrating 2 years at Union Chapel! I honestly, can't believe it has been 2 years!! God has been so good to us and has blessed us in so many ways!! We are so thankful for the Lord bringing us to Union Chapel and we look forward to many more years! Please continue to pray for our church and us as we minister to the people her! God is good!!

Kaiden Michael is 8 months old!!

I can't believe I have an 8 month old son!! Wow...it just doesn't seem right!! He is such a joy to watch and I am so thankful to be his mommy!! He has learned how to do so much this month! He finally rolled over from his back to his stomach!! He had the hardest time with this...he rolled over from his stomach to his back at 3 months old and did great with that...but for some reason he could not get the other part! But he FINALLY got it this month!! :) And it took one time...and he was off with it!! He rolls EVERYWHERE!! If he is this mobile just by rolling I can't imagine what it will be like when he does crawl and walk!! OH MERCY!! He also learned to go from a sitting position to his stomach and will sometime get on all fours like this! And if he is sitting and there is something he wants behind him..he flips himself over to get it! LOL! It cracks me up to watch him do that! He also learned to wave bye bye! He is still working on it..but we will get it every once in a while! His vocabulary includes.. "bye-bye" "da-da" "ga-ga" "ya-ya" and a lot more baby talk but NO "Ma-Ma" Lol!!! Everytime we try to get him to say it...he laughs and smiles! He will say it one of these days...lol!

My child LOVES to eat..and I think Love doesn't even describe it!! HAHA!!! He thinks he can eat everything! There is not a food that he turns down...even if he doesn't like it..he still eats it! haha! There are foods that he can't keep down...and it is mostly vegetables! He doesn't keep down carrots(the worse one), sweet potatoes, and sometime greenbeans! Squash and Peas are about it..with the exception of some mixed vegetables! He loves all the fruit! He drinks juice and loves it..but it doesn't stay down well either..so we just tried yogurt juice and so far that has been a success! At his last appt. he weighed 17lbs...and I am sure we have hit the 18lb if not more mark by now! He is growing out of 3-6 except some bigger ones and shorts/pants still fit him...but mostly he wears 6-9 month! He just graduated from the infant carseat to the big boy carseat..which was a really hard step for me! I'm not sure why.. I guess the infant carseat is easier when it comes to drinking a bottle or something on the go and he napped so well in his carseat! But it needed to go along time ago!! He loves his new carseat and naps well (so far) in it! He is such a happy baby!! It doesn't take much to make him laugh or smile!! He has a smile for everyone!! We have noticed him having a very tender heart! When he sees another baby crying..it breaks his heart! My nephew, Brayden, is like that... I would love it if he had Brayden's personality!! But I will love his personality if it is one of his own!! Lol!! :) I am so blessed to have such a wonderful baby boy!! He will always be my baby boy!! Even when he is 50..haha!!! :) I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams!!
