7 Months!

Mckinleigh Rose is 7 months old today! She has brought so much joy into our lives over these past 7 months! She is such a sweet loving baby!! She is growing so fast and I can't believe she is already 7 months old! She is around 18 lbs and is wearing 6 month to 6-9 month clothing! She eats abut 6 oz every 4 hours or so and 1-2 jars of baby food through out the day. She is taking 3-4 naps a day (if big brother doesn't wake her up)! She goes to sleep for the night around 7:30 and sleeps all night till 7-8am! (PRAISE THE LORD!!) She is sitting up really good and loves to sit and play with toys on the floor. She absolutely loves his big brother!! She is such a Daddy's Girl!! (He spoils her rotten!!) She is starting to say "DA-DA" and "BA-BA". She is also exploring and trying to wave Bye Bye. She watches you intently when you wave bye bye and she will put her hand up and try her hardest to make the same motion you are making! She loves to be entertained! She wants something in her hands to play with or someone playing with her! She has had a first this month: an ear infection!! To my knowledge, Kaiden has never had an ear infection!!! But she had one last week and is still on her antibiotic for it! She also had some sort of stomach bug going on yesterday, but seems to be feeling better!! She is such a joy to us and we are so thankful the Lord blessed us with this precious child!! We are looking forward to her 1st Christmas!! :)

Happy 4th Anniversary!!

*This was supposed to be put up on our acutally Anniversary!! *Sorry bout that ;) Today marks our 4 year anniversary! Its hard to believe that we have been married for 4 years! Seems like just yesterday we were dating! This past September marked our 5th year of being together! WOW! That may not seem like a lot to those who have been married much longer than us, but now days 4 years is a milestone! I'm so thankful for the Godly husband that God gave me! He has proved to be a wonderful husband and father! The Lord saw fit to bless us with two beautiful children within these past 4 years and I can say that having children has not always been easy, especially them only being 19 1/2 months apart! We have joked several times over the last few years that I have been pregnant for 18 of the 48 months we have been married! Lol, which hasn't always been easy but my husband has been so faithful through it all. As I look back at that day, I didn't imagine then that we would be where we are today, but I couldn't have chosen a better road and I'm so thankful to have had him by my side the whole time! Just like every married couple we have had our great days and our not so great days! But looking back, we have overcome so much and have grown together and in the Lord and the trials and difficult days have only made us stronger! If you were to ask me would I do it all over again.. I would tell you without hesitation ABSOLUTELY!!! God knew exactly what I needed in a husband! I'm more in love today than I was on the day I said "I do"! So all that to say, Thank you Jonathan for a wonderful 4 years of marriage! I love you more than you will ever know! I know I don't say if often enough, but I am truly blessed and I am so thankful the Lord saw fit to put us together! I pray we have many more years together! Thank you for being the husband and father we need you to be! Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!!!

A Glance Into Our Week

Trust you all are having a good start to your week and had a great week last week! We had a great week! We had several highlights of the week we were looking forward too. On Wednesday we had our Church Christmas Dinner. We had some fun times, a great devotional, and great food! Jonathan sang some Christmas songs and Bro. Donnie and Bro. Steve played instruments along with him. My favorite one they did was "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". They did a great job on it and they may become one of my favorite "secular" Christmas songs! Thursday was our 4 year Anniversary! I can't believe it has been 4 years! Seems like just yesterday we were preparing to walk down the isle to become husband and wife! Now we have been married for 4 years and have 2 wonderful children! God has been so good to us during these past four years and we are so thankful for His many blessings on our life! We actually got to go on a date night!! It has been sooo long since it has just been the two of us! It was so nice just to be able to enjoy time with one another and it was so peaceful!! Those with small children know exactly what I'm talking about! Don't get me wrong, I love my babies, but its nice to have an evening to yourself every once in a while and we hope to get better about taking Date Nights and spending that much needed time together! Sunday was our Christmas at Peace! The Adults performed a Cantata during the AM service and the Children did one during the evening service! Everything went very well and I know the Lord was pleased! I was so proud of my hubby for pulling this off! Most of the time we have several months to prepare for Christmas, but since we just moved to Peace we only had a few weeks to get something together and he did a wonderful job and didn't stress to much about it! ;) However, a few days before the program we both came down with colds and Saturday night neither one of us could talk! Thankfully the Lord helped us through both services! He seems to be feeling better but I'm not there yet! :( Mckinleigh has had an ear infection this week and Kaiden is suffering with his allergies! So needless to say I'm ready for some stability in this weather..haha year right! :) Well that's about it for now!! We are really looking forward to being with our families next week and trust you all have a wonderful Christmas!! Until next time...

A Glance Into our Week

Sorry this is a little later than I normally post! Been a busy few days! We had a great week last week. Tuesday we were able to go to Story Time which is the last one for the year! We are sad for it to be done for this year but we are looking forward to starting back at the first of the year! This is one of the things we look forward to each week! The kids are really loving it! On Wednesday the Library had a Christmas program that we went to! The read Christmas stories and sang Christmas songs. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of kids there! Kaiden is going to be a lot of fun this year at Christmas! We are constantly trying to remind him that Christmas is Jesus' birthday and it so cute to hear him say Baby Jesus Birthday when we ask what is Christmas! He has already received a few presents and he is so funny when he opens them! So I'm looking forward to this Christmas with him! Hard to believe that it is his 3rd Christmas!! Speaking of Kaiden, he continues to do well with potty training! I'm so thankful for this and that he is out of diapers (with exception of night time and naps..still not bold enough to try that yet. ;) ) He is growing up so quick on me! Recently he has become a monkey!! He has always been a climber, but gracious sakes. I can't turn around for a minute before he is climbing up somewhere! The other day he got out of bed and went into the kitchen. I went to see what he was doing and he had climbed onto my counter to where the pop tarts are at, and helped him self to a pop tart and was just sitting on the counter enjoying himself! I tell you he is constantly climbing! Every day he climbs in his sister's crib with her! He is definitely keeping me constantly on the move! (Wonder how many calories I burn chasing him around..lol) Friday night all of the staff at Peace were invited to a very sweet family's house for a delicious dinner! We really enjoyed our time with them and will definitely be a highlight of Christmas time around here! Sorry this is short and doesn't have any pictures..lol...but Mckinleigh just woke up from her nap and Kaiden is beign quite so I better go!! Until next time....

A Glance into our Week

We had a pretty low key week for the most part all due to the fun adventure of POTTY TRAINING!! :) I was going to wait until after Christmas..but a certain someone motivated (well challenged) me to go on with it! We started on Tuesday and I was super surprised at how well he did. The first day he only had 2 accidents! WOW! Such a difference from the last time we tried it that is for sure! He could have cared less the last two times I tried, but he was also young and I don't think he was fully understanding. But I will say I credit his success this time to all those times we had tried before. I believe it gradually helped him understand the concept of it and getting a little older I think was the key this go around. I told Jonathan not to long ago that if he can tell me when he is hungry, what he wants to eat, or watch then surely he can tell me that he has to go to the bathroom! By the end of the first day, he was doing it on his own without me even telling him to go try. (I think he liked my reaction a little too much..lol)So it took about a week, if that really! He has gone through several naps staying dry and Monday night he stayed dry in his pull up all night! I am so proud of him! There wasn't a magic formula that I followed this go around! It just clicked this time! And I say PRAISE THE LORD ONLY ONE IN DIAPERS!!!! :) Now to get Mckinleigh trained..haha JK!! :) Can't believe my little man is growing up so fast on me! He is such a good kid, even when he has his moments, he still is my sweet lil guy and I'm so blessed to be his Mom (yeah, he is calling me Mom and Jonathan Dad...I thought this came later...oh well)!! On Saturday we took the Cousins to get Christmas pictures made. They all matched and were super adorable and did really well considering trying to make 4 kids under the age of 5 (3 of them BOYS) sit long enough to capture a photo!! Mckinleigh wasn't feeling very well over the weekend so it took a lot to make her smile and for the most part she wasn't feeling it! But we managed to get some good pictures and were pleased with how they turned out! :) PS You can check out more on my facebook page if you haven't already seen them :) A fun adventurous week to say the least. Potty training and a sick child always makes for a good time!! :) Lol, but seriously I am thankful that I have such precious children to take care of! God has truly blessed me beyond what I ever thought possible! And every day He shows me just how Good He is! Even in the not so fun moments of life He is still good! :) Until next time....

A Glance Into Our Week

Monday and Tuesday we were busy preparing for our Thanksgiving trip! We were very excited to be spending the week with family and friends! Tuesday evening we had a joint Thanksgiving service with some of the other churches in our area. We enjoyed this time of fellowship with our church family and we had great services! We first made our way to Jonathan's parent's house! On Wednesday we visited some of his family in that area then left to meet my brother, his wife, and most of my family for lunch for Daniel's birthday! After lunch we headed to Greenville to see Jonathan's side of the family that is from that area. We had a great time seeing everyone and the kids got spoiled! :) We spent the night with the newlyweds on Wednesday! Thursday morning we ate breakfast with our great friends, the Bakers! We truly miss seeing them every week but are so thankful for the time we do get to spend together with one another! After breakfast, we headed to lunch at my parents house! Both sets of my grandparents were there as well as my cousin, his wife, and their 2 month old daughter! I enjoyed holding the baby and getting to spoil her! :) We have so much to be thankful for..not only at Thanksgiving but all year around! God has been so good and gracious to us, even during the trying times he proves himself faithful! We all are beyond blessed!! Thursday night we began our shopping extravaganza!! We started at 8pm on Thursday and went for 16 hours STRAIGHT!! I was EXHAUSTED!!! Everyone outlasted me that is for sure! But we had a great time and made memories and had lots of laughs and got great deals! It was great being able to spend time with one another and finish just about all my Christmas shopping! :) We headed home Sat. afternoon (stopped for more shopping..lol)! We hated to leave, but were so thankful for the time that we had to spend with our families! God has blessed us and we are thankful for Godly families!! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Until next time....

A Glance into Our Week

We made it to story time!! Kaiden was so fun to watch this past week! He got up and sang and did the motions! Mckinleigh sat with the older kids on the floor and she loved it!! The highlight of our week was a visit from Amanda, Luke, Brayden, & Landen! They came in Sunday night and stayed with us on Monday! We were so excited to have them come and stay with us! Kaiden was asleep when they got in so the next morning he was so excited to see all of them there! It was a beautiful day to do some shopping, eating, playing in the park, and most importantly ICE CREAM!! :) We had such a great time and can't wait to see them again this week! :) On Thursday we left for Peace's Annual Staff Retreat at the Preacher's Parent's Lake House! We had such a great time with the staff of Peace FWB Church! We ate way to much junk food, laughed, planned the calendar year, shared our hearts, played games, read from God's Word, stayed up wayyyy 2 late...probably the latest we have stayed up in YEARS..lol...and had way to many OREOS!!! :) We had a great time getting to know each other better and are looking forward to what God is going to do at Church! We pray He gets the honor and glory for everything because if He doesn't than all is done in vain! On Saturday we had our monthly ladies fellowship! I was exhausted from our trip and getting very few hours of sleep but I decided to go and was so glad I did! We ate pizza and learned to make a Mod Podge Coaster! It was a lot of fun and I am so glad I decided to go! Hope you all have had a great week! Until next time.....

Crafts with Mama!! :)

6 Months Old

Mckinleigh Rose is 6 months old today! WOW!! Where has time gone?! My lil girl is growing up so fast! She is such a joy!! I'm so thankful the Lord blessed us with this precious girl! I couldn't imagine my life without her! She is so happy and always has a smile for everyone! Its just precious! She gets the most attention for her hair! ;) She has her 6 month check up scheduled in a few weeks, so until then I weighed her on our scale at home and it said she weighs 17 lbs! WOO BUDDY!!! I believe she is every bit of it! LOL! She is wearing 6 month clothing size 1 shoe and a size 2 diaper (for now..moving up once she is done with this pack) She absolutely loves her brother! She loves to watch and laugh at him! She loves to be entertained! She is eating 4-6 oz and eating Stage 2 baby food and does not like Carrots or Green Beans! She is sleeping through the night and only wakes up for a paci if she wakes up. She can roll over from her back to stomach occasionally and has mastered her stomach to back! She loves to play with her feet! :) She can sit up on her own for about 30 seconds before she will topple over! She loves bath time and she loves to snuggle!! She is such a sweet baby!! I love her giggles and babbling! She brings so much joy into our lives and we are so thankful for this precious 6 month old!! Time is going by to fast and I cherish every day with her!! We love you sweet girl and hope you have had a wonderful first 6 months of life!! :)

A Glance into Our Week!

This past week, we actually didn't make it to story time and I hate that didn't work out because I really enjoy taking the kids! However we still did something fun in place of it (well..fun for the kids we will say haha) we joined our local YMCA! It is right around the block from our house and if it wasn't such a busy road we might could walk..but don't see that happening! LOL! We have been wanting to do this for a while and I finally decided it was time. Our main goal: yes to live a healthier life style and hope to shed a few pounds in the process but this wasn't our main goal...to spend time together! I know this may sound crazy but 2 hours of FREE childcare everyday who wouldn't!! LOL!! Jonathan and I have really enjoyed going and actually get a little disappointed when we can't make it! Yes we are KILLING ourselves, but we are really enjoying the time we get to spend together as a couple without the kids! We may not always be able to do this, but we decided this was what we needed in our lives at the moment! And if I ever just need a break and an outlet I can just go there and work off some stress and tension that everyday life brings while my children are being well taken care of and having a great time! Kaiden and Mckinleigh are both enjoying it and like I said we are really enjoying the time that we have together and really believe this will only bring us closer together! On Thursday we had a very sweet teenager in our church take some Christmas pictures for us! She did an excellent job! Kaiden can be kinda difficult when you expect him to sit there and smile when he obviously would rather be down playing and being a boy, but she was very patient and had a sweet spirit and we were very pleased with how they turned out! Thursday afternoon was ROUGH for me...I came down with a bug of some sort and it was not pretty! Ugh...however it didn't last long and I believe that was the power of prayer! You see, I DID NOT want to miss our Ladies Retreat that weekend and I just prayed that God would take whatever it was away from me! And he did!! I slept most of the evening and all night and Friday morning I felt so much better!! So on Friday, we loaded up our van and headed North! I headed to the East Coast Ladies Retreat and Jonathan took the kids to stay with his parents for the weekend! The retreat was wonderful! Not only was it great to see many friends and family and spend time with them but it was an awesome time of refreshing in God's Word with God's people! The Lord really did a work in my heart and I may save all of that for another post! But it was a great time and I believe I walk away a better person because of what the Lord did in my own heart and life! It was a great week (besides being sick..ugh) and this week is once again a busy and fun week!! :) Until next time... :)
